REUNION REIMAGINED INDEMNITY & LIABILITY WAIVER

Purpose

This Indemnity and Liability Waiver (“Agreement”) is intended to release and hold harmless all parties associated with the planning, coordination, and hosting of Reunion Reimagined event conducted on the premises of Richland School District Two facilities or any affiliated or rented locations.

 

Acknowledgment of Risk

By attending or participating in any Reunion Reimagined activity or event, the (“Participant”) & their guests acknowledge and accepts that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Personal injury or death;

• Theft, damage, or loss of personal property;

• Accidents or incidents occurring on or off the premises;

• Illness or exposure to communicable diseases;

• Any acts or omissions by other participants, volunteers, or staff.

The Participant and their guests understand that all attendance and participation are voluntary and at their own risk.

 

Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration for being allowed to attend or participate in the Reunion Reimagined event, the Participant hereby voluntarily and knowingly releases, waives, discharges, and agrees to hold harmless the following parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death sustained while participating in or attending the event:

• Class Reunion Directors, Officers, Committee Members, and Volunteers;

• Event Organizers, Staff, and Contractors;

• Richland School District Two, its Board, Personnel, and Affiliates;

• The City of Columbia, Richland County, Lexington County, and the State of South Carolina, including their respective officers, employees, and representatives;

• Any rented facilities and their owners, management, or personnel.

This release includes, but is not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of duty, or acts or omissions of any of the released parties.

 

Indemnification

The Participant and their guests agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees), or claims arising out of or resulting from participation in the event or violation of any event policy or applicable law.

 

Personal Responsibility

The Participant and their guests assumes full responsibility for any personal property brought onto event grounds and understands that the Released Parties are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
The Participant and their guests further agrees to abide by all event rules, facility regulations, and the Richland School District Two Code of Conduct, including the prohibition of alcohol, drugs, weapons, and disruptive behavior.

 

Binding Effect

This Agreement shall be binding upon the Participant, their guests, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.
The Participant and their guests affirms that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agree with this waiver with full knowledge of its legal significance.
